2026 “Mongolia Heroes” China-Foreign Boxing Championship (Ordos-Ejin Horo Banner Station)

The 2026 “Mongolia Heroes” China-Foreign Boxing Championship will be held on January 3rd at the Ejin Horo Banner National Fitness Sports Activity Center in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, with a brand-new schedule. This year’s competition boasts an unprecedentedly luxurious lineup, with a top-tier Chinese team led by Zou Jinbo, a rising star in Chinese mixed martial arts, and his brother Zou Jinliang.

They will face off against top fighters from eight countries and regions, including Russia, India, Iran, Thailand, Finland, and Mongolia, defending the glory of Chinese martial arts.

A special event will feature Ding Chunyu facing “Black Tiger” Kenan in a ten-minute extended bout. This is not only a clash of strength and skill but also a feast of sports and culture, sure to inject new vitality into the tourism development and cultural life of Ejin Horo Banner.

This competition, certified as an international A-level event by the WKF World Kickboxing Federation, will have all results included in the WKF World MMA Official Rankings. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), as one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, is popular globally for its comprehensive technical system and highly entertaining competition. Mr. Yang Jingang, founder of the original Chinese MMA event “Mengma Heroes,” is committed to creating a top-tier Chinese fighting platform that promotes the spirit of the Mongolian horse. The decision to hold this event in Ejin Horo Banner is precisely because of its appeal.

MATTSON Leon, the reigning FTC -147lbs Champion, returns for his first title defense.

Standing across from him is his longtime rival, in a fight that will determine whether his reign truly begins.

On the other side, Rabichan RAVICHANDRAN, the first champion in FTC history, a fighter who has never lost his title to anyone.

Coming off a strong victory at FTC 9 against Nathan MORIN, he finally gets, after years of waiting, the opportunity to fight for the championship against Mattson Leon.

The series is tied 1–1.  This third matchup will mark, regardless of the outcome, the end of one of the most historic rivalries in Quebec kickboxing.

More than 145 member countries on 6 continents are busy for the next season.

Spain was our host for the amazing last WKF World Championships 2024 in all disciplines. First time in co-operation with BOXING for male and females !

Mr. Juan PINILLA was the head of the organizing team in November 18th to 22nd, 2024.

In 2025 WKF has promoted with all local partners our “continentals” , on six continents !

For example European Championships in June in Moldova and Pan American Championships in Bucaramanga, Colombia, or African Cup in autumn!

My sincere thanks go to our hard-working World President in the amateur division, Mr. Carlos SUAREZ in Buenos Aires, and also to all 6 Continental Directors and all Managers and Promoters.

Confirmed 2026 are WKF sanctioned World Cups in all 6 continents – in preparations for Cartagena.

Everyone wants to be there for the first World Championship in the Caribbean – as a fighter, coach, or official.

We expect 1.500 to 2.000 fighters from all over the World !!!

The next World Championships in 2028 are now confirmed, back in Europe!

Since December 1, 2025, we have a new, highly dedicated president and a new leadership team for WKF USA within our world federation.

My name is Alexandr VARVARENCO, and I am the President of WKF USA.
I am a highly experienced kickboxing coach and sports professional with a higher education in Physical Culture and Sports, specializing as a trainer-teacher.

I was born and trained in Tiraspol, Moldova, at the Boeс Sports Club. During my competitive career, I became a champion of Transnistria and Moldova, a medalist in international tournaments, silver medalist of the WAKO World Cup, and professional champion of Ukraine under WKA.

During 9 years of coaching in Transnistria, I continued to represent Boeс Sports Club, was appointed head coach, and trained athletes who became national and international champions, including a European champion and silver medalists of the World Cup and European Championships. For my contribution to sports, I was awarded the “Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports” distinction and recognized as Best Coach of 2020.

After moving to the USA, I founded GOLDEN EAGLE FIGHTING CLUB in West Sacramento, California, where over 2 years my students achieved:
• Multiple 1st places in California (IKF)
• 1st places at the USA Championship (WKA)
• Silver medals at the USA Championship (ISKA)

As President of WKF USA, I am committed to developing kickboxing in the United States, organizing high-level competitions, and nurturing the next generation of champions through professional training and athlete development.

 

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the unexpected loss of one of our World Vice Presidents of the WKF.

Our friend, Rodrigo, has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.

This sudden and great loss of my personal friend, president of WKF CHILE, continental director of the WKF Latin America and the Caribbean and thus one of 6 world federation vice presidents, is almost impossible to describe in words.

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Rodrigo several times around the world. He always had a kind word and was always top-notch as an official in the ring and as a supervisor.

As LAC Continental Director, he was also heavily involved in organizing the upcoming World Championship in Colombia in October 2026.

We at the WKF – World Kickboxing Federation – are deeply saddened. Our thoughts are with his family, all his friends in Chile, and everyone who knew Rodrigo.

Dear Rodrigo, just two days before Christmas, your laughter, your kindness, and your professionalism have been silenced forever.

We will miss you, my old friend.

Report on the WKF Open European Kickboxing Cup, December 11-13, 2025, Alba Iulia, Romania.

The WKF Open European Kickboxing Cup, which was held in Alba Iulia, Romania.

 

 

From December 11 to 13, 2025, was attended by more than 350 athletes from 11 countries.

Athletes competed in three kickboxing categories:

K-1, low kick, and kick-light!

Over 200 fights were held over two days.

The Gala Finals featured a fight for the PRO-AM Europe title in the K-1 category in the – 54 kg Bantamweight category between Max GAUN (Germany) and Damir ALIMOV (Moldova). Winner by points Alimov.
