Dear WKF family,

we hope you, your family and friends are doing well.

WKF start in the background Worldwide to schedule great events in 2026

Today more than 150 member countries on 6 continents are busy for the next season.

Spain was our host for the amazing last WKF World Championships 2024 in all disciplines. First time in co-operation with BOXING for male and females !

Mr. Juan PINILLA was the head of the organizing team in November 18th to 22nd, 2024.

In 2025 WKF has promoted with all local partners our “continentals” , on six continents !

For example European Championships in June in Moldova and Pan American Championships in Bucaramanga, Colombia, or African Cup in autumn!

My sincere thanks go to our hard-working World President in the amateur division, Mr. Carlos SUAREZ in Buenos Aires, and also to all 6 Continental Directors and all Managers and Promoters.

World Championships 2026

Now the whole world will meet again in Cartagena, Colombia, 19th to 24th October 2026 and many strong teams from:

Africa, Asia,

Australia, Europe, 

Latin America

North America

will challenge our best Champions.

All our 150+ Worldwide WKF MEMBER countries are most welcome in Colombia!

Many long time national WKF associations have received new leadership and new strong WKF local associations from all over the World have NEWLY joined!

Many nations worldwide, disappointed by other small “so-called world federations” have rejoined our WKF.

Confirmed 2026 are WKF sanctioned World Cups in all 6 continents – in preparations for Cartagena.

 

Everyone wants to be there for the first World Championship in the Caribbean – as a fighter, coach, or official.

We expect 1.500 to 2.000 fighters from all over the World !!!

The next World Championships in 2028 are now confirmed, back in Europe! Romania’s capital City Bucharest is the venue, our host is WKF EUROPE Vice president Mr. Florin MINA.

10月18日星期日，世界自由搏击联合会（WKF）在卡塔赫纳举办了年度世界裁判大会。没有有效的WKF执照——没有任何例外——就不可能成为WKF裁判！因此，每个国家都必须派裁判参加此次大会！

New leadership at WKF FRANCE !

Effective immediately, WKF France has a new president.

Mr. Fabrice LOCQUENEUX will continue the excellent work of WKF FRANCE and will also prepare a team for the World Championships in Cartagena, Colombia.

Here is a brief introduction:

Mr. Locqueneux is currently the president and head coach of the TAO CHIE DO Club in Berlaimont, an organization known for its high-quality training and dedication to promoting martial arts.

 

He also coaches kickboxing and K-1, disciplines in which he has extensive practical experience. As an active representative of the K-1 Alliance Federation (FKA), he contributes to the development and structuring of this sport at the national and international levels.

In addition to his technical expertise, Mr. Locqueneux is distinguished by his professionalism, sense of responsibility, structured vision for the development of the sport, and his tireless commitment to the safety, training, and progress of the athletes.

His profile, shaped by his experience and his ability to bring people together, is, in my opinion, a great asset to a strong and dynamic presidency of WKF France.

EN AVANT LA FRANCE

Avec effet immédiat, la WKF France a un nouveau président. M. Fabrice LOCQUENEUX poursuivra l’excellent travail accompli par la WKF en France et préparera également une équipe pour les Championnats du monde de Carthagène, en Colombie.

Voici une brève présentation :

M. Locqueneux est actuellement président et entraîneur-chef du club TAO CHIE DO de Berlaimont, une organisation reconnue pour la qualité de son entraînement et son engagement dans la promotion des arts martiaux.

Il entraîne également le kickboxing et le K-1, disciplines dans lesquelles il possède une vaste expérience pratique. En tant que représentant actif de la K-1 Alliance Federation (FKA), il contribue au développement et à la structuration de ce sport aux niveaux national et international.

Outre son expertise technique, M. Locqueneux se distingue par son professionnalisme, son sens des responsabilités, sa vision structurée du développement du sport et son dévouement sans faille à la sécurité, à l’entraînement et à la progression des athlètes.

Son profil, forgé par son expérience et son aptitude à fédérer, constitue, à mon avis, un atout majeur pour une présidence forte et dynamique de la WKF France.

New leadership at WKF Belgium!

WKF Europe’s continental federation has further strengthened its roster. Another strong European national team will compete at the World Championships in Colombia in October!

Here is a brief introduction:

Je pratique les sports de combat depuis de nombreuses années, notamment le kickboxing et le K-1. Actuellement, je suis secrétaire de la Fédération Alliance K-1 (FKA) et responsable de plusieurs organisations sportives en Belgique. Mon implication quotidienne dans le développement, l’entraînement et l’organisation d’événements sportifs m’a permis d’acquérir une solide expérience en administration et en sport.

Au fil des années, j’ai contribué à la création et au développement d’un réseau de clubs affiliés, à l’organisation d’événements nationaux et internationaux, et à la promotion de pratiques structurées, sûres et respectueuses des valeurs du sport.

Mon objectif a toujours été de faire progresser notre discipline avec dévouement, transparence et professionnalisme. Aujourd’hui, je souhaite mettre cette expérience au service de votre organisation afin de représenter et de développer votre fédération en Belgique.

Je suis convaincu de pouvoir contribuer activement à sa croissance, renforcer ses partenariats et organiser des événements de haut niveau répondant aux standards internationaux.

Avec engagement, dévouement et passion, je suis prêt à m’investir pleinement dans cette mission et à travailler en étroite collaboration avec vos équipes pour atteindre les objectifs fixés.

The President of WKF ROMANIA, Master Florin MINA, announces the national selection event for the Romanian team participating in the World Championship in Cartagena, Colombia.

Master Marius Vasile NITA, promoter of Dynasty Kombat and Vice-President of WKF-Romania, promises an explosive event titled “Dynasty of Champions” on March 29th in Bucharest.

All athletes will compete for national selection and a spot in the Dynasty Kombat Gala on May 3rd.

Head referees Adrian MINA, Alexandru NITA, and Costin MINCU will coordinate the smooth running of the event.

Furthermore, for the date of May 3rd, we are announcing a signature Dynasty Kombat event featuring international guests from Austria, Argentina, and Germany.

 

After the great success last Year the next WKF Open World Cup in cooperation with the Mayor´s Cup take place in Moldova´s capital Chisinau.

Date is confirmed for June, 25th to 26th.

This open World Cup in Chisinau has many strong. international teams from all over the World.

Great hospitality , nice Hotels and excellent food is just what you get in Moldova.

The WKF Lower Austria State Association, with President Florian Bartl and “AUSTRIA BOXING UNION” President and Supervisor Daniel Z. Hirlau, are once again organizing an international tournament for BOXING, KICKBOXING, and MMA.

Many teams and well-known clubs from Austria neighboring countries have already confirmed their participation!

International WKF referees with a valid license are welcome!

Exciting news from South India! 

One of our oldest members in the original WKF is Mr. Yogehs K. Shad.

Since the last General Assembly in Alicante, Spain, he was unanimously (!) elected by all 65 nations present as WKF Asia Continental Director 

India is also part of the WKF BRICS family and will be sending fighters to China for the first time in May.

We’re organizing two state championships and a National Judge, Referee, and Coaches Training Seminar next month:

Kerala State Championship April 11-12, 2026

– Tamilnadu State Championship (dates to be announced)
