During PAN-AMERICAN Championships in the City Bucaramanga! After the great success last Year Promoter Sr. Luis MEDIOMUNDO, president of WKF COLOMBIA, expect again more than 1.000 fighter from 20 countries.

Riley ADAMS from Octagon pro Gym in Vienna in Lowkick – 54 Kg / 119 lbs vs. Jessica MORENO , European Champion vs. Latin American Champion. 

Austrian girl Lilly WURZER – 57 Kg / 125 lbs  in K-1 vs. Gabriela MARTINEZ.

For sure two great technical fights 5 x 2 minutes.

Report on the joint WKF/WFKO World Kickboxing Championship, scheduled for October 31–November 3, 2025, Ploiesti, Romania.

A total of 1,078 athletes from 30 countries registered for the 2025 WKF/WFKO World Kickboxing Championships:
Romania, Moldova, Morocco, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Lithuania, Turkey, Slovakia, Serbia, Great Britain, Finland, Belarus, Germany, Egypt, Ukraine, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lebanon, Montenegro, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Sweden, Slovenia,
Switzerland, Poland.

According to the overall team medal standings:
1st place: Romania,
2nd place: Moldova,
3rd place: Belarus.

The Belarusian national team, consisting of seven athletes, performed phenomenally, winning seven gold medals and the 2025 WKF/WFKO World Champion title!

The 2024 WKF World Champions of Alicante (Spain): Viktor Nechitailo, Maksim Kazacu, Evgeniy Myagkov, Ivan Chernetskiy, and Stanislav Savchenko repeated their success at the 2025 World Championships in Romania.

Maxim Spodarenko and Vladislav Abramovich became the new World Champions!

The Moldovan national team, which performed well at the WKF World Cup in Minsk, Belarus, took third place in the overall team competition! In Romania, the Moldovan team, consisting of 47 athletes, won second place in the overall team competition!

The enormous Romanian team, with 470 athletes, took first place in the overall team competition! The athletes competed on four tatami mats and two rings!
The opening and awards ceremonies were truly spectacular!

In Bucharest, WKF World President Friedrich EXENBERGER signed a contract with WKF ROMANIA president and Europe Vice President Florin MINA to host the

2028 WKF World Kickboxing Championships in Romania!

Grandmaster Florin Mina, President of WKF ROMANIA and Vice President of WKF EUROPE continental federation together with Master Marius Nița (Dinastia Nița) announce the 2028 WKF World Championship in Bucharest.

Our respected President Florin Mina was, is and will remain our only representative of WKF Romania within the World Kickboxing Federation.

Next amazing TOP class International WKF tournament in Tiraspol, Moldova.

Good hospitality, nice food and some of the best fighters in East and West meet in Tiraspol again.

WKF HEAD OFFICE work very hard in cooperation with our IRC- “International rules committee”  to train our international officials and referees, to answer protests and requests for the competition rules and to develop our various WKF rules.

 

Our last World referee seminar´s 2023 in Skofije, Slovenia, 2024 in Alicante, Spain and 2025 in Chisinau, Moldova, appointed several new TOP female WKF referees with international licenses.

The last international referee seminar in 2025 in Minsk, Belarus, has brought three more highly qualified “Women in Black” to our team, and thus further strengthens our team.

Today we again have

19 female officials worldwide

only with an international WKF referee license.

As the world know – our next World referee seminar will be held in Cartagena, Colombia, Saturday and Sunday just before the WKF World Championships 2026

 

The next but one World referee seminar will be held in in November 2027, the weekend just before the following

European Championships 

 

 

Without valid WKF license you are not an official in our World Kickboxing Federation!

As is already known, the WKF Austrian Championships will now take place on 10./11. April held in Vienna.

More than 2.500 down loads (!) already show the great interest in the last qualification for the amazing World Championships in Cartagena, Colombia.

A large field of Austrian WKF clubs and members can be expected again.

Everybody want to fight in the Caribbean World Championships, autumn 2026

 

In semi-contact or point fighting Austrians were able to place themselves TOP at the last World Championships in Alicante.

WKF AUSTRIA have currently special Austrian training centers in Innsbruck, Wels and Vienna.

Austrians new national MMA coach will also announce his national team 2026 for Colombia there!

This event is the last chance for all Austrian champions to qualify for the World  Championship! This applies accordingly to all tatami and ring sports, BOXING  and of course forms / Kata and MMA.

For the second time our World referee seminar takes place in Colombia.

We got already many requests from our male / female referees and officials from 6 continents and we hope everybody who would need Visa for Colombia start in time at least 8 weeks before with Visa procedure.

All International WKF referees who not has attended the seminars in Triest 2023 ,  Alicante 2024 , or Chisinau 2025 must extend their license in Cartagena.

After the International Referee Seminar in Minsk, three new female European referees with official WKF licenses were positively assessed. With our new referees, the number of internationally licensed female referees increases to 17.

The youngest in the trio is Ksenia NOVIKOVA from Belarus, who received the C license after the seminar and an excellent exam.

The Russian expert Liliya VOROGUSHINA has been active in the scene as a referee for a long time and has been awarded the International B License.

By decision of the WKF Board, Mrs. Olga Nikolaevna STRIZHAKOVA was awarded the highest WKF A license. She has many years of experience as an international referee and, in the opinion of many WKF board members present in Minsk, was one of the best referees, both as a judge and in the ring.

In addition to Russian, Ms. STRIZHAKOVA also speaks fluent Spanish und English

She will be another important expert and sporting link between WKF EUROPE and South America at the upcoming World Championships 2026 in Cartagena, Colombia.

The WKF Board congratulates all three ladies and is pleased to have other highly qualified international referees from Europe on the team.

The next Latin American Referee Seminar under the direction of Amateur World President Carlos SUAREZ will take place on November 11th and 12th, before the Pan American Open in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Numerous new licenses will be awarded there, and existing ones renewed. It’s well known that our Latin American sports friends always have top-trained officials.

At the last WKF World Cup in Minsk, Belarus, managers and representatives from 26 nations across five continents were present.

For the first time in history, a PRO World Championship title WKF PRO K-1, -58.2 kg Japan vs. Belarus was held, which local hero Viktor NECHITAILO won on points.

Dmitri SHAKUTA and Alexey IGNASHOV are Belarus heroes and two of the best K-1 fighters at all time.

In addition to the outstanding athletic performances of all athletes – men and women – behind the scenes, global politics were being played out and WKF history was being made.

In addition to the many international WKF directors, many international sports stars were also at ringside and gave a press conference. From Sydney in Australia multiple World Champion Mr. Rustam ATTAI was part of many important meetings. He opens the door to UAE and Dubai with our new director Mr. Abdulah Alex SAYER. 

The internationally well-known organizer and manager Abdulah Alex SAYER from Dubai takes over the WKF for the Middle East with immediate effect.

As always with such major international WKF events, new events for 2026 were agreed upon, and fighters for title fights were sought and offered.

A great supporter and friend of the WKF is Batu Sergeevich KHASIKOV from the only official Russian federation, FKR.

Batu Sergeevich KHASIKOV, in a conversation with World Amateur federation President Carlos SUAREZ of Argentina, confirmed a large Russian team for the upcoming World Championship in Colombia in 2026.

Through the mediation of our WKF Chief Diplomat and Secretary General Roman Viktorovich LOGISCH, the Japanese legend Takayuki KOHIRUIMAKI was also invited to Minsk. After intensive discussions, he was appointed to lead the WKF in Japan.

Furthermore, another legend, the great MUSASHI, will be working on his team.

Akio Mori (森 昭生) better known by the ring name Musashi (武蔵),  is a four-time K-1 Japan tournament champion and two-time K-1 World Grand Prix finalist. 

Our highly esteemed President of the WKF CHINA and Wushu World President, Yan Sifu, unfortunately couldn’t be there in Minsk. He is currently in South Korea, and there was a strike at all airports at the time. A video conference with Yan Sifu brought many new international connections, events, and new projects to China!
