Next elimination in Belarus for the World Championships in Cartagen, Colombia, October 19th to 24th

Report on the WKF Kickboxing Championship and Junior Championship of the Republic of Belarus from April 23 to 26, 2026, in Minsk, at the Staiki Republican Olympic Training Center.

217 athletes participated in the competition, competing in the K-1 (adults 18-40 years old, juniors 16-17 years old) and low kick (adults 18-40 years old) categories.

The tournament was officially opened by: Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Ivanovich Baraulya, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Major General of Police, Chairman of the Belarusian Kickboxing Federation Yuri Gennadievich Nazarenko, European Director of the WKF, First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Kickboxing Federation Sergei Vasilievich Khmelkov, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Kickboxing Federation, Honored Master of Sports Dmitry Viktorovich Shakuta. Supervisor Prof. Dr. Ivan Vasilievich DERKACHENKO.
Over the course of three days of competition, 150 fights were held. On April 26, the final fights took place in the morning program, and the gala finals and awards ceremony took place in the evening.
Winners were determined in the following nominations: Best Adult Coach, Best Junior Coach, Best Junior Athlete, Best Adult Athlete, and Best Referee. The team took first place overall, second, and third.

The following athletes were awarded for the most spectacular fight: Maxim Kazaku, Viktor Nechitailo, Ivan Chernetsky, Stanislav Savchenko, Vladislav Abramovich, Vitaly Protasevich, and Marat Shnitko confirmed their reputation as the strongest.
There were some surprises, too. Maxim Spodarenko lost by knockout in the final after a right uppercut from Mikhail Shchechin! Gleb Bazanov dethroned Evgenia Myagkov as the leader in the 81 kg weight class.
Ksenia Novikova was named Best Referee.
Mikhail Shchechin was named Best Fighter.
Elizaveta Sidorova was named Best Female Fighter. Evgeniy Gushchenko was named Best Adult Coach. Vitaly Tishurov was named Best Junior Coach.
