Report on the joint WKF/WFKO World Kickboxing Championship, scheduled for October 31–November 3, 2025, Ploiesti, Romania.

A total of 1,078 athletes from 30 countries registered for the 2025 WKF/WFKO World Kickboxing Championships:
Romania, Moldova, Morocco, Pakistan, India, Nigeria, Lithuania, Turkey, Slovakia, Serbia, Great Britain, Finland, Belarus, Germany, Egypt, Ukraine, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Lebanon, Montenegro, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Sweden, Slovenia,
Switzerland, Poland.

According to the overall team medal standings:
1st place: Romania,
2nd place: Moldova,
3rd place: Belarus.

The Belarusian national team, consisting of seven athletes, performed phenomenally, winning seven gold medals and the 2025 WKF/WFKO World Champion title!

The 2024 WKF World Champions of Alicante (Spain): Viktor Nechitailo, Maksim Kazacu, Evgeniy Myagkov, Ivan Chernetskiy, and Stanislav Savchenko repeated their success at the 2025 World Championships in Romania.

Maxim Spodarenko and Vladislav Abramovich became the new World Champions!

The Moldovan national team, which performed well at the WKF World Cup in Minsk, Belarus, took third place in the overall team competition! In Romania, the Moldovan team, consisting of 47 athletes, won second place in the overall team competition!

The enormous Romanian team, with 470 athletes, took first place in the overall team competition! The athletes competed on four tatami mats and two rings!
The opening and awards ceremonies were truly spectacular!

In Bucharest, WKF World President Friedrich EXENBERGER signed a contract with WKF ROMANIA president and Europe Vice President Florin MINA to host the

2028 WKF World Kickboxing Championships in Romania!
