After the International Referee Seminar in Minsk, three new female European referees with official WKF licenses were positively assessed. With our new referees, the number of internationally licensed female referees increases to 17.


The youngest in the trio is Ksenia NOVIKOVA from Belarus, who received the C license after the seminar and an excellent exam.
The Russian expert Liliya VOROGUSHINA has been active in the scene as a referee for a long time and has been awarded the International B License.
By decision of the WKF Board, Mrs. Olga Nikolaevna STRIZHAKOVA was awarded the highest WKF A license. She has many years of experience as an international referee and, in the opinion of many WKF board members present in Minsk, was one of the best referees, both as a judge and in the ring.

In addition to Russian, Ms. STRIZHAKOVA also speaks fluent Spanish und English
She will be another important expert and sporting link between
WKF EUROPE and South America at the upcoming World Championships 2026 in Cartagena, Colombia.
The WKF Board congratulates all three ladies and is pleased to have other highly qualified international referees from Europe on the team.
The next Latin American Referee Seminar under the direction of Amateur World President Carlos SUAREZ will take place on November 11th and 12th, before the Pan American Open in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Numerous new licenses will be awarded there, and existing ones renewed. It’s well known that our Latin American sports friends always have top-trained officials.


At the last WKF World Cup in Minsk, Belarus, managers and representatives from 26 nations across five continents were present.

For the first time in history, a PRO World Championship title WKF PRO K-1, -58.2 kg Japan vs. Belarus was held, which local hero Viktor NECHITAILO won on points.

Dmitri SHAKUTA and Alexey IGNASHOV are Belarus heroes and two of the best K-1 fighters at all time.
In addition to the outstanding athletic performances of all athletes – men and women – behind the scenes, global politics were being played out and WKF history was being made.

In addition to the many international WKF directors, many international sports stars were also at ringside and gave a press conference. From Sydney in Australia multiple World Champion Mr. Rustam ATTAI was part of many important meetings. He opens the door to UAE and Dubai with our new director Mr. Abdulah Alex SAYER.
The internationally well-known organizer and manager Abdulah Alex SAYER from Dubai takes over the WKF for the Middle East with immediate effect.

As always with such major international WKF events, new events for 2026 were agreed upon, and fighters for title fights were sought and offered.
A great supporter and friend of the WKF is Batu Sergeevich KHASIKOV from the only official Russian federation, FKR.
Batu Sergeevich KHASIKOV, in a conversation with World Amateur federation President Carlos SUAREZ of Argentina, confirmed a large Russian team for the upcoming World Championship in Colombia in 2026.

Through the mediation of our WKF Chief Diplomat and Secretary General Roman Viktorovich LOGISCH, the Japanese legend Takayuki KOHIRUIMAKI was also invited to Minsk. After intensive discussions, he was appointed to lead the WKF in Japan.

Furthermore, another legend, the great MUSASHI, will be working on his team.
Akio Mori (森 昭生) better known by the ring name Musashi (武蔵), is a four-time K-1 Japan tournament champion and two-time K-1 World Grand Prix finalist.
Our highly esteemed President of the WKF CHINA and Wushu World President, Yan Sifu, unfortunately couldn’t be there in Minsk. He is currently in South Korea, and there was a strike at all airports at the time. A video conference with Yan Sifu brought many new international connections, events, and new projects to China!

Over 600 athletes from Pakistan, Moldova, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, England, Russia, Egypt, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Armenia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Australia, Belarus, Argentina, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates participated in the WKF Kickboxing World Cup.

Ring divisions: Low kick, adults 18-40 years old only
K-1: 14-15; 16-17; 18-40 years old 289 participants;
Tatami disciplines (musical forms, light contact, kick-light) – 315 participants.

Based on the results of the competition, taking into account the results of the ring and tatami divisions (kick-light, light contact, and solo compositions), the nominees for the overall team standings were determined:
1st place – Republic of Belarus
2nd place – Russian Federation
3rd place – Republic of Moldova

On September 15 and 16, 2025, Derkachenko Ivan Vasilievich held an international referee seminar on WKF kickboxing, after which 6 judges received international referee / judge licenses.

26 nations and over 600 fighters from five continents met in Minsk for the World Cup in all WKF disciplines.

For this purpose, an international WKF referee seminar was held, bringing men and women from Eastern Europe back into the WKF referee community.

A legendary PRO world title fight is taking place on September 20th in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.
The current champion is Viktor NECHITAILO from Minsk.
He will face Japanese superstar Satoshi KATASHIMA for the coveted WKF title and belt.
This amazing title fight is scheduled in Featherweight -58.2 Kg / 128 lbs

This incredible World Championship title fight Europe vs. Asia was first negotiated through the mediation of the Japanese legend Mr. Kohiruimaki TAKAYUKI and has now been officially confirmed from WKF head office. Our thanks also go to our WKF Secretary General, Mr. Roman LOGISCH, who helped organize this incredible world title fight.

The World Kickboxing Federation has now appointed Don Carlos SUAREZ from Buenos Aires as supervisor for this amazing World title fight. Referees from Germany, Bulgaria, and Austria will be at ringside. This ensures neutrality in accordance with our WKF rules in four languages!

Another legend will hand over the world championship belt.
K-1 Champion and another top-class heavyweight fighter, Alexey “The Red Scorpion” IGNASHOV, will watch the fight as a VIP.
Ignashov was a highly skilled Belarusian heavyweight kickboxer, known for his powerful kicks and knees.
A four-time Muay Thai World Champion and a two-time K-1 World Grand Prix tournament winner.
