Super top-class event in Minsk, Belarus.

26 nations and over 600 fighters from five continents met in Minsk for the World Cup in all WKF disciplines.

For this purpose, an international WKF referee seminar was held, bringing men and women from Eastern Europe back into the WKF referee community.

Our thanks go to Ivan Vasilyevich Derkachenko, who conducted the seminar so professionally.

The WKF pro K-1 world title fight Japan vs. Belarus went to Minsk after a real ring battle.

Mr. Daniel Z. Hirlau has been a successful WKF manager for several years and has done an outstanding job as World President of the Boxing Division in a very short time.

Our intention was to assist and relieve the previous Hungarian President, Mr. Istvan Rozman, of his excessive responsibilities.

He will continue his work as World President of the WKF Professional Division and in the IRC.

A legendary PRO world title fight is taking place on September 20th in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.

The current champion is Viktor NECHITAILO from Minsk.

He will face Japanese superstar Satoshi KATASHIMA for the coveted WKF title and belt.

This amazing title fight is scheduled in Featherweight -58.2 Kg / 128 lbs

This incredible World Championship title fight Europe vs. Asia was first negotiated through the mediation of the Japanese legend Mr. Kohiruimaki TAKAYUKI and has now been officially confirmed from WKF head office. Our thanks also go to our WKF Secretary General, Mr. Roman LOGISCH, who helped organize this incredible world title fight.

The World Kickboxing Federation has now appointed Don Carlos SUAREZ from Buenos Aires as supervisor for this amazing World title fight. Referees from Germany, Bulgaria, and Austria will be at ringside. This ensures neutrality in accordance with our WKF rules in four languages!

Another legend will hand over the world championship belt. 

K-1 Champion and another top-class heavyweight fighter, Alexey “The Red Scorpion” IGNASHOV, will watch the fight as a VIP.

Ignashov was a highly skilled Belarusian heavyweight kickboxer, known for his powerful kicks and knees.

A four-time Muay Thai World Champion and a two-time K-1 World Grand Prix tournament winner.

On September 27th, our nr. 1 promoter in Greece “Mad dog promotions” promote the next WKF PRO – AM international title in Muay Thai.

Weight category   Lightwelterweight – 63,5 Kg / 138 lbs

Current Greece Champion Jürgen LUAN from “Mad dog Camp” fight vs. challenger for the belt Stefanos PSARAS from Nicosia, Cyprus.

He represent the “Global Vale Tudo Cyprus” team.

First qualifying round in Brazil for the 2026 World Championship, to be held in November in Cartagena, Colombia.

The next World Cup will be held after the summer break from September 15-21 in Minsk, Belarus.

Eastern Europe will be represented by major teams.

EU citizens do NOT require a visa if they stay in Belarus for less than 30 days !

Initial information about the next World Championships in November 2026 in Cartagena, Colombia, will also follow very soon. 

Our Amateur World President Mr. Carlos SUAREZ from Buenos Aires, Argentina, will be official WKF observer. He will attend the WKF Board meeting in Minsk, where high-ranking WKF representatives from Europe, Africa and Asia are expected. Many new, exciting events are in the works.

AND: the last WKF World Cup this Year will be from November 13-15 in the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia!

On September 20, 2025, one of the largest international WKF tournaments will once again be held at the Guggenberger Sports Hall in Austria. The City Korneuburg is near Vienna.

The WKF disciplines for male and females will be K-1 and amateur BOXING. Sanctioned by the  “AUSTRIA BOXING UNION”

Official WKF age and weight classes will apply. You can find the announcement here  registration for your team is just per mail possible

More than 1.250 (!) downloads on the WKF EUROPE website and all others demonstrate the great interest in the 2025 Austrian Open.

The weight check, WKF license, and medical check will only be conducted on Friday, September 19th , in the sport hall from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Video weigh-ins are not permitted in the WKF.

NO WEIGH-INS ARE POSSIBLE on Saturday, September 20

This event is open for cadets 15- 18 Years, women and men

of all federations, countries and teams!
